Deshmukh, Patil lift titles at the Seventh leg of PMDTA-KPIT Junior Little Champions Bronze series Tennis Tournament

Pune, 3 April 2021: Kavya Deshmukh and Daksh Patil claimed titles in the girls and boys under 12 event respectively at the seventh leg of PMDTA – KPIT Little Junior Champions Bronze series Tennis Tournament organized by Pune Metropolitan District Tennis Association (PMDTA) supported by KPIT and played at Millenium School Tennis Courts, Karvenagar.

In the girls’ section finals, top-seeded Kavya Deshmukh edged out Ritsa Kondkar 2-4, 5-4(3), 4-1 and claimed her fourth title of the season in this category. 6th standard student of DY Patil School Kavya practices at PCMC Court under coach Manoj Kusalkar.

In the boys’ section 6th standard student of Vidya Valley School, top-seeded Daksh Patil outplayed seventh-seeded Swarnim Yewalekar 5-3, 4-2 to claim the first title of the season. Daksh practices under coach Satish Orse and Somnath Pawar.

The winner’s and runners- up got trophies and certificates.

Daksh Patil(1) bt Aaryan Kirtane 7-1;

Swarnim Yewalekar(7) bt Sanat Kadle 7-2;

Final round:  Daksh Patil(1) bt Swarnim Yewalekar(7) 5-3, 4-2;

Girls Under 12: Final Round:

Kavya Deshmukh(1) bt Ritsa Kondkar 2-4, 5-4(3), 4-1.
