Despite No Practical Exams, Pune University Asks Colleges To Submit The Marks

Pune,26th April 2021: Colleges under Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) are confused over a new notification issued by the varsity. The notification mentions submitting the practical examination scores of the students before April 30.

Interestingly, the colleges have shut almost throughout the year and no practical was conducted on how to submit the practical examination score. Meanwhile, the officials from the examination department stated that it is not the practical examination mark but the internal marks of the students that need to be submitted.

Meanwhile, the principals of the colleges are upset with the varsity as they asked to submit the marks for practical examinations.

Management Board member Sanjay Chakane said, “It is indeed wrong on part of the varsity to ask for the marks for practical examinations when the decision to get the practical examination marks after the written examination. We need to call another exam committee meeting to implement the earlier decision.”

A college principal said, “The letter by varsity has created confusion among the colleges as practical examinations were not conducted due to the corona epidemic. Few might have conducted the examination, but that does mean all have taken it. I request the varsity to re-think the decision.”
