Pune, 24 August August 2021: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has taken a strict stand against those who have found resorting to unfair means while appearing for the examinations that took place July-August.

Apparently, several students received their results saying pass and the next day they saw ‘unfair means’, written on their marksheets. According to the officials from the examination section of the varsity, students who took help while writing the examinations have got caught and thus their results have been withheld.

“We have proofs which show that these students have resorted to copying during the examination”, said the officials.

Students had to give their examination through proctored method which means that they have to keep their web cameras on. If they open another window or disconnected their internet during the examination period or found moving around suspiciously, then their question paper would stop displaying on the screen.

Despite this, the students dared to apply unfair means.

Prove yourself innocent

Meanwhile, the varsity has given one opportunity for such students to prove themselves innocent. “The students who have got the ‘unfair means’, mark on their marksheet need to be present at the varsity. Officials will put forth the proofs they have against the student. The student will have prove innocent and if the answers are found satisfactory, then the mark will be removed”, said the officials.
