DGP Jaiswal inaugurates the new office of Pune traffic police in Yerwada

Pune, November 30, 2019: Maharashtra Director general of police (DGP) Subodh Kumar Jaiswal on Saturday inaugurated the office of traffic branch of Pune city police. The office is located on the airport road near Golf Course in Yerwada.

Commissioner of Police K Venkatesham, Pune divisional commissioner Deepak Mhaisekar, State CID chief Atulchandra Kulkarni and Jt CP Ravindra Shisve were present on the occasion. Manoj Patil and Tejaswi Satpute, who earlier headed Pune traffic branch, were also called to witness the historic moment.

Earlier the traffic branch was located on the premises of the Pune Police Commissioner office in Camp. Now it has been relocated to Yerwada. A government bungalow, adjacent to the GST Bhavan, has been renovated to house the traffic police office.

DCP (traffic) Pankaj Deshmukh gave a presentation about various initiatives of the traffic branch.

During his address, DGP Jaiswal asked the traffic police personnel to improve their communication skills as they are the ones who face the public. “Give the best service to the people”, Jaiswal said.

Pune divisional commissioner Mhaisekar assured the police department of all necessary assistance in improving the traffic infrastructure.

DGP Jaiswal felicitated Police Inspector Jitendra Koli of Vimantal traffic division and other staff, and also Hemant Sonawane and Prakash Waghmare of Pune Metro, which assisted in the renovation of the office.
