Dhanori elderly woman’s killers nabbed in Jharkhand

Pune – Officials from Pune city police Crime Branch have nabbed a man and detained his two children from Jharkhand, for their alleged involvement in murder of a 71-year-old woman in Dhanori on September 30.

Police said that the accused Manish Chaddha (48), his minor son and daughter had been changing locations in the last two months. They had stayed in Lonavala, Goa, Chennai. After information was received that they are in Jharkhand, a team from Crime Branch Unit I went there and nabbed them.

Radha Madhavan Nayyar,a resident of Ambanagari on Dhanori, was found murdered in her flat where she lived alone. The killers had also decamped with her ornaments worth Rs 1.5 lakhs.

Police said that she had allowed entry to Chaddha as they had been neighbors earlier in Dighi. Police claim to have found CCTV footage of Chaddha and son in the society. She had ordered milk from a local shop and had made tea for the killers.
