Pune, January 16, 2021: The Blue Circle Diabetes calendar is the first of its kind virtually shot and printed on paper charity calendar curated by NGO Blue Circle Diabetes Foundation featuring 12 people across varied demographics living with diabetes. All proceeds from the calendar go to charity.

The aim is to create diabetes awareness and spread some positivity (there are different types of diabetes, type 1 diabetes, which is auto-immune, type 2 diabetes, which is lifestyle-related, gestational diabetes which happens during pregnancy, etc) in a country that’s a world leader in diabetes and prove that if managed well, diabetes doesn’t have to be depressing or scary or come in the way of a successful life and career.

On the calendar are 2 model-actors/entrepreneurs (Aishwarya Sakhuja and Megha Gupta), one radio jockey and emcee, RJ Megha, a fashion designer from Pune, Priyanka Raajiv and the owner of Mapro, Nikunj Vora. Apart from this, there are 2 very cute kids and other diabetics from all over India. The calendar was shot entirely virtually by senior photographer M. Fahim from Pune.

This special calendar has been unveiled by public figures such as Aishwarya Sakhuja, model & actors Richa Pallod and Kainaz Motivala, professional shooter and Olympian Anjali Bhagwat. Several other public figures too are in the process of advocating for diabetes through our NGO and we will share those updates shortly on our social media pages.

Desk and wall calendars and very catchy and fun diabetes inspired stickers and merchandise can be purchased here: https://www.bluecircle.foundation/store Sharing a one-liner bio of each person with diabetes from across the world that features on this calendar (bios included on the calendar too. Also on each page is a diabetes fact and a quarterly Hba1c test reminder).
