New Delhi, 27th May 2021: There have been many cases in the country when the first dose of Corona vaccine given to a person was Covishield and the second one was Covaxin or vice versa. Apprehensions have also been expressed about this, but the government says that there is no need to panic in such a situation.

NITI Aayog’s health committee member, Dr VK Paul, says that if a person gets a different vaccine for the second dose, there is no need to panic. It is completely safe. Not only this, he said that the government itself is planning to combine two vaccines. He said that there is a readiness to do so on a trial basis.

Dr Paul said, “According to protocol, both doses of the same vaccine should be used. But if a person gets doses with different vaccines, then it is not a matter of panic. We are considering mixing drugs on a trial basis ourselves.”

Considering the Covid crisis in the country, the member of the NITI Aayog said that the government is in talks with the Pfizer Company. He said that a certain amount could be supplied to India by the company in the next few months.

Expecting the weakening of the current Corona wave, he said that for the past few days, there has been a decrease in new cases continuously. It was said in the press conference of the Ministry of Health that for the past 20 days, there has been a continuous reduction in corona cases.

Not only this, he said that if the restrictions are lifted with caution and slowly in the coming days, then this state of control can remain. A total of 2,11,298 new cases of corona infection have been seen in the country in the last 24 hours. Apart from this, 3,847 people have died due to Corona. So far, more than 2.73 crore corona cases have been found in India.  3,15,235 people have died.
