Pune, 10th November 2023: As the Diwali festival approaches, the central markets of Pune city witness a surge in shoppers, leading to increased concerns about potential traffic congestion in the central area.

To address this issue and ensure a smoother traffic flow, special parking facilities have been designated for citizens’ vehicles from 10/11/2023 to 11/11/2023.

For four-wheelers, the following parking facilities are available:

1) Riverside (Bhide Bridge to Jayavantrao Tilak Bridge)
2) Paid parking at Hamalwada and Bhanuveelas
3) AD School Ground (Between Sewasadan Chowk to Appa Balwant Chowk)

For two-wheelers, designated parking areas include:

1) Riverside near Bhide bridge
2) Santaji Ghorpade Path (Between Kumbharves Chowk to Gadgil Putla Chowk)

Encouraging citizens to utilize these designated parking spaces, the traffic police, led by DCP (traffic) Vijay Magar, appealed to the public to cooperate and help in avoiding potential traffic jams.

The initiative aims to streamline parking arrangements during the festive shopping period, ensuring a hassle-free experience for both shoppers and commuters in the central part of the city.
