Doctor Arrested For Raping College Girl In Pune
Pune, 25th September 2023: A doctor has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a college girl in Pune. The 26-year-old accused met the victim on social media and invited her to his office for dinner on the night of September 24. He allegedly gave her wine before dinner and sexually assaulted her after she got drunk.
The victim, a 20-year-old student, filed a complaint at the Vishram Bagh police station. The police have registered a case against the accused under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for rape.
According to the police, the victim and the accused started chatting on social media a few weeks ago. He got to know her and invited her to his office for dinner on the night of September 24. The victim agreed and went to his office.
He allegedly gave her wine before dinner. After she got drunk, he took her to a bedroom and sexually assaulted her. The victim tried to resist, but he overpowered her.
After the assault, he dropped the victim back at her home. She was too scared to tell anyone about the incident at that time. But the next day, she decided to file a police complaint.
The police have arrested the accused and he is currently in judicial custody. The investigation into the case is underway.
