Does Pune University plan to take first semester exams through online mode?

Pune, February 4, 2021: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has conducted a final year and backlog examinations online. These exams were conducted on students’ mobiles, laptops, tabs, computers.

Since there was no control over the students, many sat together and solved the paper. Many students had taken the help of Google to find solutions. As a result, the pass percentage has increased by about 30 percent. However, in the backlog examination, a proctored method was used which reduced the technical difficulties in online exams and avoided confusion. Yet the students cheated in exams, officials claim.

Now the university is planning for the first semester examinations. Students are demanding online exams.

Colleges will start on February 15. Therefore, it is possible to take exams at the college level. Therefore, it is likely to be discussed and decided in the meeting of the examination board to be held next week.
