Double Crown for Puneet, title for Sarena at 18th Ramesh Desai Memorial Under 12 Tennis Championship

Mumbai, February 17, 2024: M. Puneet of Karnataka won a memorable double crown in the boys event while Sarena Gehlot of Haryana won the girls singles title at the 18th Ramesh Desai Memorial Under 12 Tennis Championship organized by Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) which concluded at the GA Ranade Tennis Center .

Puneet who hails from Bengaluru who won the boys doubles title came back from 4-5 in the third set to scrape past Nerul boy Aarav Chhallani 6-3, 5-7, 7-6(4) in a nail biting encounter last nearly four hours

Sarena Gehlot of Haryana upset her state mate and second seed Khushi Kadian 7-6(4), 6-1 to win the girls singles title

The singles winners and runner up received trophy and certificates. The prizes were given away at the hands of Mr.Bharat Oza, President of MSLTA, Mr Manoj Vaidya CEO MSLTA Mr Himanshu Malik AITA supervisor was also present on the occasion.
