Dr. Ambedkar’s Life Journey is Inspiring for the Students: Dr. S.B. Mujumdar

Pune, 6th December 2024: Dr. Ambedkar wrote the Constitution not only for the Dalit community but for the entire society. He had compassion along with intelligence and that is why while writing the Constitution, he forgot all the injustice done to him and did not hold any grudge or revenge anywhere. Since he was a reformist, he also left room for the amendments in the Constitution. Before writing the Constitution, he inspired the Dalit community, said Arun Nigvekar, Assistant Editor, Dainik Saamana, Pune.
On Friday, December 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM Symbiosis Institute’s Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum and Memorial organized “Abhivadan Sabha” on the occasion of Mahaparinirvana Diwas of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial, Senapati Bapat Road, Pune. Arun Nigvekar, Assistant Editor, Dainik Saamana, Pune was invited as the chief guest on this occasion. Dr. S. B. Mujumdar, Founder and President, Symbiosis presided over the function.
Speaking at the occasion, Nigvekar said, today the spark of struggle has been extinguished. It is our responsibility to respect the Constitution and also to fight at times.
Dr. S.B. Mujumdar in his presidential address mentioned that Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s contribution is not only for the Dalit community but for the entire world. Inspired by Dr. Ambedkar, Martin Luther King had created a revolution in America. Dr. Ambedkar’s life journey is inspiring for students also. Babasaheb achieved great heights in the field of education. Columbia University from America honored him with D. Litt. He could have got a respectable and high-paying job abroad but he returned to India and fought for the development of the Dalit community.
Dr. Vidya Yerawadekar, Principal Director, Symbiosis and Pro-Chancellor, Symbiosis International University and Dr. Ramakrishnan Raman, Vice Chancellor, Symbiosis International University were the other distinguished dignitaries present for the function.
Sanjeevani Majumdar, Honorary Director, Symbiosis Institute’s Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Museum and Memorial, gave the welcome address and Dr. Ajay Chaudhary, Chair Professor, Dr. Ambedkar Chair, Symbiosis International University gave the vote of thanks.
