Dr Bhagwan Pawar Appointed As Pune Municipal Corporation’s Health Officer

Pune, 10th March 2023: Dr Bhagwan Pawar has been appointed as the new Health Officer of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), filling the vacancy left by the transfer of Dr Ashish Bharti. Dr Pawar, who is currently working as the Health Officer of the Pune Zilla Parishad, has been deputed to the Municipal Corporation for two years. The state public health department issued orders to this effect.

Dr Bharti was transferred from the post of Health Officer of the Municipal Corporation, leaving the position vacant for several days. Dr. Bharti had been appointed on a one-year deputation in September 2020 and was given an extension of one year in February 2022. However, his deputation was terminated on October 4, 2022, and Dr. Pawar was appointed in his place for a two-year term.
