Dr. D.K. Abhyankar, Director General of CREDAI-Pune Metro honoured on his Diamond Jubilee year

Pune, April 17, 2022: Dr. D.K. Abhyankar, Director General of CREDAI-Pune Metro was felicitated at the hands of Srinivas Patil, MP and former Governor of Sikkim on the occasion of his Diamond Jubilee year, which coincides with the 75th year of the independent India during a program jointly organized by Sharda-Gyan-Pitham and CREDAI- Pune Metro with support of CREDAI Maharashtra at Shubharamba Lawns, DP Road, Pune.

 

A autobiographical book ‘Gauravika’ based on Dr. Abhyankar life was also launched during the program in the presence of Dr. Nitin Karmalkar, Vice Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University, Anil Pharande, President, CREDAI-Pune Metro, Shantilal Kataria, Vice President, CREDAI National, Sunil Furde, President, CREDAI Maharashtra, Suhas Merchant, past President of CREDAI-Pune Metro, Pandit Vasantrao Gadgil, Founder, Sharda-Gyan-Pitham and Pradeep Bhargav, Former President, MCCIA.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Srinivas Patil said, “Scholars use their knowledge not only for themselves but also to guide others. Dr. D. K. Abhyankar is one such person. He has guided many organizations and he will continue to guide people and organizations in the future.”

 

Dr. Nitin Karmalkar said, “Dr. Abhyankar is a philanthropist who has helped people in the field of education. He has been closely associated with the university for the last several years. Among the awards given to the students by the university, Dr. Abhyankar has a lion’s share. Seven gold medals are awarded to students in various fields every year through him. He has also strived for the development of the city as a ‘smart city’ and has a thorough knowledge of Pune. ”

 

Accordingly, Dr. D.K. Abhyankar also announced that CREDAI- Pune Metro, which has been awarding meritorious students in subjects including Economics, Physics, Biotechnology, Law and Management with gold medals, from next academic year will also honour the meritorious students in Construction Management with the medals.

 

“Dr. Abhyankar is known for his personality, temperance and punctuality,” said Shantilal Kataria.

 

The program began with Shruti Deshpande, great grand daughter-in-law of Sawai Gandharwa who performed Bhavgeet in his memory, while Bhagyashree Abhyankar performed Bhavgeet and Pasayada besides Warkaris from Alandi who performed an Abhang.

 

CREDAI-Pune Metro’s Legal Executives Adv. Sailee Hotkar and Renuka Gokhale anchored the program.
