Pune, 12th February 2025: Going beyond the family and working for the society is a big thing. This inspiration comes from the ‘compassion’ taught by Gautam Buddha and Saint Tukaram. Saint Dnyaneshwar put forward this idea of ‘My home of the world’.

Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma Phule, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar worked for the society. There are people like Dr. Tanaji Salve who worked for the society, even in little ways. Dr. Tanaji Salve is an example of the kind of person who strived hard for the society like Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Dr. Tanaji Salve’s work is an example of ‘Marave Pari Kirti Rupi Uraves’. This can be said. This was stated by Dr. Sadanand More, a senior scholar of Sant literature.

Dr. Tanaji Salve’s Social Foundation was inaugurated by Dr. Sadanand More, a senior scholar of Sant literature. The program was presided over by Dr. Nitin Ghorpade, Principal of Annasaheb Magar College and Member of the Management Council of Savitribai Phule Pune University. Foundation Trustee Prof. Dr. Vilas Adhav, Director and Head of The Lifelong Learning and Extension Department, SPPU, Principal Dr. Sushma Bhosale, Principal Dr. Sanjeev Late, Dr. Navnath Tupe were present on this occasion.

The program was introduced by Dr. Sangeeta Salve, President of Dr. Tanaji Salve Social Foundation.

In his presidential address, Principal Dr. Nitin Ghorpade, Member of the Management Council of Savitribai Phule Pune University, said that the work of Dr. Tanaji Salve is being perpetuated through the work of Dr. Tanaji Salve Social Foundation. Dr. Salve said that he made his own identity through his own work and made an impression on his work.

On this occasion, educational materials were distributed to Rangehill Secondary and Primary School in Khadki on behalf of Dr. Tanaji Salve Social Foundation. The teachers of this school, Shashikant Tikote and Gopinath Dhawan, accepted the materials.

Dr. Tanaji Salve’s colleagues, friends and loved ones expressed their memories and feelings about Dr. Tanaji Salve.

On this occasion, Dr. Sunanda Thorat, Dr. Apeksha Jadhav, Dr. Vaibhavi Kale, Dr. Sangeeta Ghodke, Dr. Meghna Bhosale, Dr. Savita Kulkarni, Dr. Bhaskar Jangle, Dr. Nana Zagade, Dr. Arjun Doke, Dr. Sanjay Zagade, Dr. Dattatray Sankpal, Shashikant Tikote, Avinash Mahaware, Santosh Mahaware, Nagesh Mahaware, Suresh Salve, Anand Randhir, Gauri Salve, Vishakha Adhav etc. were present.
