Ducati India Engages Pune Youth at Wadgaonsheri Lighthouse, Promotes Road Safety and Career Guidance
Pune, 13th March 2026: Representatives of Ducati India visited the Lighthouse Communities Foundation centre in Wadgaonsheri on Wednesday to interact with youth and promote the message of ambition, discipline and road safety.
The initiative brought together Ducati India, Lighthouse Communities Foundation and Rotary Club of Pune Riverside as part of a collaborative effort to inspire young people from underserved communities in the city.
Vishal Goyal, Director and Chief Financial Officer of Ducati India Private Limited, addressed the students and encouraged them to remain focused on their aspirations. During the interaction, he spoke about the importance of discipline and determination in achieving success.
“Discipline is not only about riding a motorcycle at speed. It is also about how you approach every challenge in life,” Goyal told the students. “When I see the determination among the youth here, it reminds me that talent and hard work can open doors to many opportunities.”
Students at the Wadgaonsheri centre shared their personal journeys, challenges and ambitions with the visiting delegation. The interaction offered them a chance to learn about career paths and the importance of staying committed to their goals.

The visit was facilitated by Rotary Club of Pune Riverside, which supported the corporate social responsibility initiative and helped connect Ducati India with the Lighthouse Communities Foundation.
Dr Ganesh Natarajan, Co-founder and Chairman of Lighthouse Communities Foundation, said such engagements help bridge the gap between opportunity and access for youth from disadvantaged backgrounds.
“Youth from underserved communities have immense potential and determination. What they often need is access to guidance and opportunities,” Natarajan said. “When organisations step forward to engage with them directly, it reinforces their belief that they can aspire to and achieve bigger goals.”

Members of the Ducati team also spoke about road safety and responsible riding, highlighting the importance of safe driving practices in a city like Pune where traffic safety continues to be a major concern.
The Lighthouse Communities Foundation runs programmes focused on career guidance, life skills development and employment support for young people in Pune. During the visit, the organisation also shared insights about the impact of its initiatives in helping youth build sustainable careers.

Founded in 2015, the Lighthouse Communities Foundation works to empower disadvantaged youth through life skills training, employment opportunities and entrepreneurship support. The organisation operates through a public-private partnership model in which government agencies provide infrastructure while private sector partners support programme implementation and operational expenses. The foundation says it has impacted more than 2.5 lakh citizens across its initiatives.
