E-Registration Facility Available for 110 New Construction Projects in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad Cities

Pune, 19th May 2023: The Department of Registration and Stamps has introduced the “e-registration” computer system for construction projects with more than 20 flats or shops, enabling online document registration from the builder’s office. This facility has been implemented in approximately 110 projects across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad cities.
In recent years, the Registration Department has been promoting the use of computerized systems to provide citizens with enhanced facilities from the comfort of their homes. The e-registration facility is now available for housing projects with more than 20 flats or shops, exclusively for new flats (first sale). This eliminates the need for individuals to visit the secondary registrar’s office for deed registration.
This facility extends to the registration of flats allocated through the MHADA and PMRDA lotteries. The government aims to raise awareness about this service among developers in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad cities and encourage their participation in the system.
Santosh Hingane, Collector of Stamps, stated that there are 27 Sub Registrar offices in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad cities. With the increasing number of flat purchases in recent years, new construction projects are now benefiting from the e-registration facility. This has significantly reduced congestion at registration offices, allowing citizens to register at their convenience.
Interested developers are required to submit a proposal to the district registrar in the project’s location area. The proposal should include the developer’s address, email ID, project details, RERA registration number, draft sale agreement, and other relevant information.
