ECA urges HRD ministry to form guidelines for pre-primary education

Pune July 6, 2019: The inaugural function of EDUFEST 2019 organized by ECA kicked off on Thursday, July 4 and concluded on Saturday, July 6under the management of Aditya Tapadia, National Core Committee Member, ECA and Territory Heads of ECA- Insiyah Rahim, Harshita Sharma, MasarratTavawala at MCCIA at Senapati Bapat Road.

 

The festival saw the participation of 28 trainers across India who trained about 900-1000 teachers from over 80 pre-schools in Pune. About 350 teachers also participated individually at the fest. The festival held 96 workshops and besides teachers it also focused on development and involvement of school workers and staff.

 

The festival also saw the launching of a mobile app in eight languages which will aim at the training of these workers.

 

According to Aditya Tapadia,as Pune is known as an Oxford of the East for higher education, the aim of the festival was to make the city best for pre-primary education as well.

“The new curriculum, known as Aakaar (Shape) which has been designed to ensure early childhood care and education by using playful methodsshould be included in allpreschools and should not be restricted only to Anganwadis.We have also set up a list for enhancing safety standards in each school to ward off any untoward incidents,” added Tapadia.
