EDUCATION IS NECESSARY FOR SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT – HARIMOHAN BANGAD
Pune 27/9/2019: The one who has experienced darkness can understand the importance of light and likewise the one who has not received education can only understand the importance of it. The one who has experienced academics will understand what it is like being educated. The one who missed opportunities to learn will understand how vital is to gain knowledge. The real investment is to help such people by educating them. It is happy to see that the Maheshwari community is spreading the importance of education within the society as it is the most vital component for social development cited senior industrialist Mr. Harimohan Bangad.
The 90th anniversary celebration program of Maheshwari Vidya Pracharak Mandal was hosted at the Corinthian club, NIMB road on Sunday. The inauguration of the program witnessed notable dignitaries including industrialist Harimohan Bangad, Akhil Bharatiya Maheshwari Mahasabha’s Mr. Shyam Soni & President of Maheshwari Vidya Pracharak Mandal Mr. Atul Lahoti, Laxmikant Navandar, Sachin Mantri, treasurer Sanjay Jakhotiya, Santosh Rathi, Sushila Rathi. The dignitaries published the ‘sankalp’ souvenir during the program while a documentary providing information about the work done by the organization was also provided. A special recognition was given to those who have given donations to the organization.
Harimohan Bangad said that it was difficult to do financial investments during the pre-independence period. It was highly challenging to raise capital for business during that period. The Maheshwari vidya pracharak mandal was established during that period recognizing the importance of education. Donation was considered important and donors had special recognition during the pre-independence period. However the situation has changed now. People who are able to donate funds for social reformation are more important than people with more funds.
Shyam Soni said that knowledge is the real future. The maheshwari community can create their own brand in any domain. The maheshwari community has brilliance within them and we can observe many people from the maheshwari community at important decision making positions globally.
Atul Lahoti said that time, knowledge and funds are the three things important for any students’ progress. The Maheshwari vidya pracharak mandal aims to work in these areas in the upcoming years. The organization is confident to create a model to work passionately in social reformation. The maheshwari community can lead the entire world if we focus on work, ethics, startup, organization, self-help etc.
Several programs were organized throughout the day following the inauguration of the program. Many experts from various fields across the country of Maheshwari community were present for the discussions. Women empowerment, impact of technology on careers, startup, and career opportunities in financial sector were the topics for panel discussions.
