Pune, October 31, 2020: It is very likely that Election Commission of India’s training centre will come up in Pune. Recently, a team of officers from State election commission visited various sites at Bavdhan, Tathawade, Wagholi among others. This centre will be useful for four states including Maharashtra.
The centre requires two acres of land and will be easily accessible. Earlier, the training was given at YASHADA but with own centre, training would be more convenient. Besides training a library, residential place for the trainees will be available. Since Pune is an accessible place, state officials feel that the centre should come up here.
