Emergency Landing: IndiGo Flight Diverted from Pune-Raipur Route to Aurangabad

Pune, 11th March 2025: A technical malfunction forced IndiGo flight 6E 6905, operating from Pune to Raipur, to make an unscheduled emergency landing at Aurangabad airport on Tuesday evening. The Airbus A320 departed Pune at 6:10 p.m. and was scheduled to land in Raipur by 7:50 p.m., but instead touched down in Aurangabad at 7:13 p.m., with all 161 passengers and crew reported safe.

Aurangabad airport director Sharad Yeole explained, “We were informed there was a technical issue, which necessitated the diversion.”

In a press statement released on Tuesday, IndiGo said, “Due to a technical problem, flight 6E 6905 from Pune to Raipur was diverted to Aurangabad airport. We have arranged an alternative aircraft for the onward journey, and our crew is providing refreshments to the passengers. We regret any inconvenience caused and remain committed to ensuring a safe and comfortable travel experience. We appreciate our customers’ understanding and cooperation in this matter.”
