Empress Garden: 16-Year-Old Boy Killed By His Two 17-Year-Old Friends

Pune, August 26, 2020: In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old boy was allegedly murdered by his two friends, who are also juveniles, over past enmity. The incident took place near Empress Garden canal in Wanowrie yesterday.

 

The deceased has been identified as Ayan Javed Ghanpure of Lohiyanagar. Based on a complaint from his mother, an FIR has been registered with Wanowrie police station against two 17-year-old boys including a Nepali. They have been booked for an offence under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

 

According to police, the accused and deceased studied in tenth class in the same school. There has been quarrel among the accused and deceased earlier over harassment of his sister. Around 1 pm yesterday, they met near the old canal near Empress Garden to resolve the earlier disputes. However, they again had arguments over the harassment issue and the accused allegedly stabbed Ayan with a knife.
