Pune, 24th June 2021: A workshop was held today at the Collectorate on the land surveying, assessment and acquisition procedures of the Pune Ring Road and Pune-Nashik Railway projects.

Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) officials and Pune District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh were present at the workshop along with other officials.

“Faster land acquisition process is necessary to complete any important project. The faster the process, the faster the project is completed. Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg (Mumbai–Nagpur Expressway) is a good example of that. Let’s complete the important Ring Road project for Pune city as well as the State together,” said MSRDC Joint Managing Director Dr Chandrakant Pulkundwar.

District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh instructed the officials to expedite work of the Pune Ring Road project and the Pune-Nashik Railway project by completing the land acquisition process expeditiously and finishing both the projects on time.

“The participation of every component of the system is important for the completion of a project and we need to inform the citizens about the services we are going to provide through it,” Pulkundwar said.  He expressed with conviction that the MSRDC will go ahead with all the permissions required for the important Ring Road project in the Pune district and finish it for the citizens.

Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh said that the workshop will be useful for the evaluation of the Ring Road and the Pune-Nashik Railway projects. This Ring Road project is very important for the State as well as Pune. The efficiency of all the sub-divisional officers is required for both the projects, the collector added.

He also instructed the village-level system to continuously review the work of the project. “Let’s hold village wise meetings and speed up the land acquisition process and complete the Ring Road project with full speed,” said District Collector Dr Deshmukh.
