Viman Nagar, 4th November 2024: A false bomb threat targeting Indigo Airlines planes caused panic at Pune’s Lohgaon airport. It has been revealed that the hoax message, which claimed bombs were planted on various Indigo flights, was circulated on social media. The airport police have registered a case against the individual responsible for spreading the rumor.

Himanshu Yogesh Agarwal (28) filed a complaint at the airport police station. Based on his complaint, a case has been registered against the user of the social media account “Adamlanza 97514,” who is believed to have spread the alarming message on November 2 around 6:00 p.m.

Upon receiving the message, the Lohgaon airport administration and the police were immediately alerted. The bomb disposal squad quickly arrived on the scene and conducted a thorough inspection of the airport and the aircraft in question. Fortunately, no suspicious objects were found.

However, the incident left passengers waiting anxiously at the airport until the inspection was completed, after which the flights were cleared for departure.

This hoax follows a disturbing trend, as similar messages about bombs being planted on planes have surfaced in recent days. Such baseless rumors have caused undue stress for both passengers and airlines.

The police are continuing their investigation to trace the individual behind the fake bomb threat.
