Father Offered Rs 75 Lakh ‘Supari’ To Kill Builder Son, Six Accused Including Father Arrested – Pune Police

Pune, 24th April 2024: In a startling turn of events, an attempted shooting targeted at Dheeraj Dineshchandra Argade, a 38-year-old builder residing in Kohinoor Estate, Mula Road, Khadki, unfolded in broad daylight on Jungli Maharaj Road. The incident occurred on April 16 around 3:30 pm below the office of Argade House. Shocking details have emerged in the investigation, revealing that the assailants were allegedly provided with the means to carry out the crime by Dheeraj Argade’s father. “The incident is fallout of property dispute in the family. Earlier also there was attack on the complainant in February this year in the Pashan area. An FIR was registered in that regard with Chatushringi police station”, the city police chief explained.

Dheeraj Argade was seated inside a parked car near his office when two individuals wearing helmets approached on a motorcycle. One of the assailants sported a red t-shirt resembling that of a Swiggy delivery person. Attempting to fire two rounds at Argade, the assailants were unsuccessful, prompting them to flee towards Shivajinagar Gaothan upon hearing Argade’s shouts. Following the incident, Dheeraj Argade promptly filed a complaint with the Shivajinagar police station.

Subsequent police investigations unveiled a shocking revelation: the alleged involvement of Dheeraj Argade’s father in orchestrating the attempted hit on his son. He had offered a Rs 75 lakh contract to the accused persons, informed ACP (Crime 1) Sunil Tambe.

A team led by Police Inspector Shabbir Sayyed, in-charge of Crime Branch Unit 1, has arrested six persons including Argade’s father in the case. A judicial magistrate court has remanded them to police custody till April 30.

The investigation was conducted under the supervision of Additional CP (Crime) Shailesh Balkawade, DCP (Crime) Amol Zende and ACP Tambe.

The team included Police Inspector Rangrao Pawar, API Ashish Kawthekar, PSI Ramesh Tapkir, Gaurav Dev, Ram Dalvi, police personnel Rahul Makhare, Datta Sonawane, Aniket Babar, Anna Mane, Abhinav Ladkat, Shashikant Darekar, Mahesh Bamgude, Nilesh Sable, Ayyaz Daddikar, Shubham Desai, Vitthal Salunkhe, Mahesh Sartape, Amol Awad, Rajendra Landge, Sayaji Chavan, Viju Kamble, Chandrakant aka Maggie Jadhav, Dhananjay Tajne, Ravi Lokhande, Nikhil Jagdale, Ravindra Rokde and Ruksana Nadaf.
