Pune, May 30, 2020: Solapur Deputy Mayor Rajesh Kale was detained by the Sangvi police station, Pimpri-Chinchwad Commissionerate, on Friday on a charge of fraud. However, he was released today after undergoing medical examination due to sneezing and coughing. Police issued notice asked him to remain present whenever called for enquiry.

However, as the role of Sangvi police seems suspicious, Additional Commissioner of Police Ramnath Pokale has ordered an inquiry into the matter. He has said that he will take further action after verifying the truth.

A case of fraud was registered against Kale at Sangvi police station in 2017. He had conspired with other accused and sold the same flat in Audambar society in Pimple Nilakh to many people. Sindhu Subhash Chavan (63), has lodged a complaint in this regard. Pimpri Chinchwad police reached Solapur on Friday evening and arrested Deputy Mayor Rajesh Kale with the help of Bijapur Naka police.

However, he was released on notice today due to sudden sneezing and coughing. As a result, the investigating officer and senior officers came under scanner and now enquiry has been ordered.
