FICCI Flo Pune Chapter Hosts Successful Fundraiser Golf Tournament for Women Empowerment

Pune, 23rd April 2024: In a remarkable display of support for women empowerment, the FICCI Flo Pune Chapter organized a groundbreaking Fundraiser Golf Tournament at the picturesque Poona Golf Club Yerwada. Led by FICCI Mahila Aghadi Pune Chapter president Pinky Rajpal, the event garnered widespread acclaim for its dedication to uplifting women from caddies families.

The tournament marked a significant milestone for the FICCI Pune Chapter, drawing participants from across the nation, including Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Mumbai, who converged at the esteemed Poona Club Golf Course. Eminent personalities such as Pune City Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar and Deepak Gulati from Bridgestone lent their wholehearted support to the noble cause, gracing the greens with their presence and engaging in 18 holes of golf.

Against the backdrop of spirited competition spanning 18 holes, players showcased exceptional skill and camaraderie. The victorious team, comprising Sheikh Nasir, Himanshu Kalia, Kashmiri Shivam, and Sunil Mudgal, emerged triumphant, while the runner-up team, led by Gangal Sumedh, demonstrated commendable teamwork and sportsmanship. Mr. Sanil Handa, President of Poona Club, along with the club committee, provided invaluable support throughout the event.

The tournament’s success was further accentuated by a series of side events, adding to the excitement and camaraderie on the course. Notable highlights included Nitesh Shinde’s remarkable putt on hole 18 and Ishan Kanoi and Anke Kikereke’s outstanding performance in the longest drive category.

As the sun set on the tournament, Poona Golf Club Captain Ikram Khan, alongside Pinky Rajpal and Anita Rajiv Agarwal, celebrated the event’s triumph.
