Fire Breaks Out In Cabin Of Running Container On Mumbai-Pune Expressway

Lonavala, 18th July 2022: A sudden fire broke out in the cabin of a running container on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway this afternoon (July 18). The fire broke out in the cabin of the container between Amrutanjan bridge and Khandala tunnel after climbing the Khandala Ghat.

As soon as the fire broke out, the driver and the cleaner stopped the vehicle and jumped out. But the cabin was burnt in the incident.

It is being speculated that the fire may have started due to engine overheating or a short circuit.

As soon as the information about the fire came to light, the IRB patrolling and the Devdoot teams rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire.
