Pune Police Arrest Vehicle Thieves; Minor Among 3 Persons Nabbed In Different Cases

Pune, 18th July 2022: The crime branch of Pune city police has arrested vehicle thieves, burglars and fraudsters in different operations. Two persons have been arrested in three operations and a minor has been detained.

 

Abdullah Qadir Shaikh (36), a resident of Kondhwa has been arrested for stealing cash from an 82-year-old senior citizen who was collecting donations for pilgrimage and helping the poor in front of the Bakar Qasab mosque in Bhavani Peth on 15th July. He has been arrested from Kondhwa. A case has been registered against him at Samarth police station in this regard.

 

While, in another operation, a criminal has been arrested who was committing burglaries at houses. The arrested person has been identified as Rohit Deepak Satpute (25), a resident of Ramtek di. Cases are registered against him at Chaturshringi and Vishrantwadi police stations. Rohit is a criminal on the record of the police and he has more than 15 cases registered against him.

 

Also, in a third operation, a minor has been detained for stealing an Activa two-wheeler from the Katraj area. A two-wheeler has been seized from him and he has been handed over to the Bharti Vidyapeeth Police station for further action.

 

The action was taken under the guidance of DCP Shriniwas Ghadge, ACP Gajanan Tompe and Senior Police Inspector Sandip Bhosale. The team included sub inspectors Sanjay Gaikwad, Sunil Kulkarni, Ajay Jadhav and police personnel Mahesh Bamgude, Rahul Makhre, Shashikant Darekar, Shubham Desai, Aniket Babar, Datta Sonawane and Abhinav Ladkat.
