Fire Breaks Out in Two Separate Locations in Pune; Fireman Injured While Extinguishing Blaze

Pune, 18th December 2024: A fire broke out early this morning in two separate locations in Pune, requiring the prompt response of the Pune Fire Brigade and PMRDA Fire Services.
The first incident occurred at 03:53 AM in Warje, Dangat Patil Nagar, where a warehouse containing pavilion materials caught fire. Another fire broke out at 04:36 AM at Mangdewadi, where plywood materials were involved. Firefighters from both Pune and PMRDA rushed to the scene and managed to bring the fires under control.
During the firefighting efforts at the Warje incident, Fireman Akshay Gaikwad, stationed at the Warje Fire Station, was injured while combating the blaze. He suffered a minor fracture to his right shoulder along with other minor injuries. Gaikwad was quickly transported to Hardikar Hospital for treatment.
The cause of the fires is still under investigation, and authorities are working to determine the extent of the damage.
