Pune: Dance Instructor Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault of two student at School

Karve Nagar, 18th December 2024: A dance instructor at a reputed school has been accused of sexually assaulting two students. The incident, reported on Tuesday, has sparked outrage among parents, who have demanded a detailed explanation from the school administration and immediate action.

On Tuesday, the police registered a case against the accused and arrested him. Following the incident, parents have called for the school to remain closed on Wednesday (December 18) and have circulated messages on social media urging others to gather at the school in protest.

According to initial reports, the child informed parents about the assault, prompting them to raise the issue with the school authorities. The school administration has since stated that the accused has been suspended and handed over to police.

“As soon as the complaint was received, we launched an investigation. The accused dance instructor has been arrested”, said DCP (Zone 3) Sambhaji Kadam.
