Fire Engulfs Pune E-Bike Factory; Over 150 Vehicles Damaged

Katraj, 4th March 2025: A major fire broke out at Bhushan Enterprises, a company involved in electric bike manufacturing, on Katraj-Gujarwadi Road. The fire, which was reported around 4 PM, engulfed materials sufficient to manufacture at least 2,000 electric bikes.
Fire brigade teams responded swiftly, arriving at the scene within eight minutes. Firefighting vehicles from Gangadham, Katraj, Kondhwa Budruk, and PMRDA fire stations, along with three municipal tankers and ten private water tankers, were deployed to control the blaze.
As per preliminary reports, around 150 electric bikes, which were in a partially built condition, were destroyed in the fire. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and firefighting operations are still underway.
