Firing Incident in Pune’s Baner Area: Youth Injured
Baner, 20th November 2023: In a shocking incident in the bustling Baner area of Pune, a youth was injured in a firing incident near Mahabaleshwar Hotel last night. The incident occurred when the youth, identified as Nilesh Pimpalkar, was meeting with friends near 45 Avenue Building on Baner Road.
The accused, Aditya Ranavare and Sagar Bansode, have been taken into custody by the Chatursrungi police following the incident. A case has been registered at the police station, and the authorities have recovered 1 live round and 2 cases of countrymade pistol from the scene.
The police revealed that the accused and the complainant, along with another individual named Rohit, reside in the same area and are employed at a motor company. The motive behind the attack seems to stem from a misunderstanding regarding Rohit’s employment status, leading to a meeting between the involved parties.
During the meeting, tensions escalated, and the accused verbally abused Nilesh Pimpalkar before firing a gun. Akash Banekar, a friend of the complainant, suffered serious injuries to his right leg in the attack.
The accused, Aditya Deepak Ranavare and Sagar Laxman Bansode, were known to the victim through their association with Rohit. The police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the incident to uncover further details.
