First Day Collection Of ‘Shamshera’ Even Less Than ‘Prithviraj’; Earns Rs 10.25 Crores On Day 1
Mumbai, 23rd July 2022: Ranbir Kapoor starrer film ‘Shamshera’ has been highly promoted. There was also a craze about the film among the fans. The big reason for this is that Ranbir’s film has come to theaters after a long time. The trailer also got a good response but when the film released it did not get a very good response from the critics.
Ranbir’s performance in ‘Shamshera’ was praised but its story seemed to be weakening at many places. The official collection figures have been released which shows that Ranbir’s film has lagged behind even ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ in terms of opening day collections.
There were speculations that the film would not get the big opening as expected. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the list of top 5 opening films in a tweet. In this, ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’ is at number one. While ‘Shamshera’ is at number five. Above ‘Shamshera’ is ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘Samrat Prithviraj’.
On an opening day, ‘Bhool Bhulaiya 2’ collected a collection of 14.11 crores. ‘Bachchan Pandey’ earned 13.25 crores, ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ earned 10.70 crores, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ earned 10.50 crores and ‘Shamshera’ earned 10.25 crores.
