First heart transplant in Pune

Pune – The heart of 14 year old boy from Solapur, who was declared brain dead after sustaining head injuring while playing football, was brought to the city for transplant at Ruby Hall Clinic on Sunday.
A 49-year-old woman received the heart as she was in need.
Pune traffic police had created a Green Corridor from airport till the hospital and the ambulance took just 6 minutes to cover the 8 km distance.
