Five Persons Arrested in Alleged Tanzanian Students Attack Case

Bangalore, Feb 4  – Bangalore Police had arrested 5 people in Tanzanian girl attack case, the Chief Minister K Siddaramaiah said.

Earlier after a road accident in the city, local mob had attacked a Tanzanian student, who have nothing to do with the incident. Following she has registered a complaint with the police.

The incident taken a diplomatic turn as the Tanzanian High Commissioner John W H Kijazi also submitted his complaint to the Union Government and asked for the strict action against the suspects.

The CM of Karnataka has said that, this is a shocking incident and I condemn it. I have asked police to investigate the matter. We have also sent report to the foreign ministry.

Five persons have been arrested so far related to the incident. We will ensure the justice, CM added.

Responding to the situation, External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj said that, “I spoke to the Chief Minister Karnataka. He informed me that a criminal case has been registered and four accused have been arrested.

I have asked the Chief Minister to ensure safety and security of all foreign students and stringent punishment for the guilty.

We are deeply pained over the shameful incident with a Tanzanian girl in Bangalore.” she added.
