Flood 2021: Pune Municipal Corporation To Help Kolhapurkars

Pune, 26 July 2021: Along with Konkan and Sangli, Kolhapur is also hit badly by floods. In the last two days, many people have lost their lives due to pain. Against this backdrop, the administration has started relief work on the war footing.
The central part of the Kolhapur city has been hit hard by the rains. Some water purification plants have been shut down in some parts of Kolhapur. The pumping system has been shut down due to the flood water entering the pumping station.
It has become difficult to provide drinking water to the citizens. Kolhapur Municipal Corporation has an insufficient number of tankers. So the Kolhapur Commissioner requested Pune Municipal Corporation to supply water tankers.
Accordingly, 17 tankers of the Water Supply Department has been dispatched to Kolhapur.
A team of 27 people including supervisors and electricians reached Kolhapur today. A period of about one week has been prepared.
