Flood affected citizens of Pune will be helped within 3 days – Madhuri Misal
Pune, September 27, 2019: The flood situation resulted after the excess rainfall in many areas of Katraj,Bibwewadi, Aranyeshwar, Parvati and Sinhagad Road will be helped within 3 days by the means of the authorities and NGOs, informed MLA and City Chief of BJP Madhuri Misal.
Misal had a meeting today to discuss this incident with District Collector Naval Kishor Ram and PMC Commissioner Saurabh Rao. Misal has also informed that flood affected citizens can reach her at the office in Ramyanagari Sociaty in Bibvewadi for help.
Areas including Katraj, Kodhwa, Aranyeshwar, Tangewala Colony, Tawre Colony, Shivdarshan, Parvati, Janta Vasahat, Dandekar Pool, Panmala and Sinhagad Road were severely hit by the floods on September 25 i.e. Wednesday night. Misal said that, all the flood affected residents are going to be helped in the form of funds for current accomodation and help for rebuilding homes by the Zila Parishad after compleating necessary procedure.Instant help will be given in the form of a day-to-day kit containing utensils, food items and linen which will be provided through NGOs.
Authorities have already assured about the provision of electricity and drinking water to these areas. Also, PMC has assigned manpower of 2000 workers and vehicles like JCBs and trucks for cleaning the flood affected portions, informed Misal. Followups are being made by BJP for this regard, she said.
