For The First Time A Woman Officer To Head Local Crime Branch Of Pune GRP

Pune, 23 August 2021: Police Inspector Sunita Rokade has been appointed as in-charge of the Local Crime Branch (LCB) of the Government Railway Police (GRP), Pune unit. She has become the first woman to head the crime branch.

 

There are six police stations, 168 railway stations, 235 platforms, 13 sectors, six sub-stations and four help centres. Generally, the crimes related to illegal businesses, mobile, laptop, chain snatching, pick-pocketing, dacoity among others, are investigated by the LCB.

 

Inspector Sunita is from the 2006 police sub-inspector batch and has worked at Thane, Pune, Navi Mumbai, anti-corruption bureau, Sangli rural, Mumbai railway police units. She’s into the service for the last 16 years.
