Former Maharashtra Minister Tanaji Sawant’s Son Goes Missing from Pune Airport, Found Safe After Police Investigation

Pune, 10th February 2025: Former Maharashtra Health Minister Tanaji Sawant’s son, Rishiraj Sawant, briefly went missing from Pune Airport this afternoon, triggering a swift police investigation. Pune Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma confirmed in a press conference that Rishiraj was later found safe and had returned to Pune Airport.

According to officials, Rishiraj Sawant had left Pune Airport without informing his family, prompting immediate action by the police. During the investigation, it was discovered that he had booked a private plane and departed for Bangkok. Authorities tracked the aircraft, and after further developments, Rishiraj, along with two others, returned safely to Pune.

“The reason behind the trip to Bangkok and why he did not inform the family is currently under investigation. Further details will be revealed after inquiries,” said Joint CP Sharma.

The incident has raised several questions, and police officials are continuing their probe to determine the circumstances surrounding Rishiraj’s sudden departure.
