Four Dams That Supply Pune With Water Are At Full Capacity

19th August 2022: The four dams that provide water to Pune city are at full capacity. This happened as a result of the continuous rains, especially in the catchment areas.

According to the current data, on Friday, the combined water storage of the four dams Khadakwasls, Panshet, Temghar, and Warasgaon is at 100% (29.15 TMC).

The combined water storage in the four dams last year on the same day was 96.16%. (28.02 TMC). The administration has started releasing water from the dams.

 

Water is being discharged from the Khadakwasla Dam at a rate of 4,708 cusecs, the Panshet Dam at 1,954 cusecs, and the Warasgaon Dam at 570 cusecs, and the Temghar Dam at 100 cusecs. Approximately 11:08 TMC water has been released from the Khadakwasla Dam from till now.

Khadakwasla: 1.97 TMC (100%)

 

Panshet: 10.65 TMC (100%)

 

Warasgaon: 12.82 TMC (100%)

 

Temghar: 3.71 TMC (100% )
