Free Press Journal Marks 97 Years With Pune Special Edition Celebrating City’s Changemakers
Pune, 23rd July 2025: Mumbai’s iconic daily The Free Press Journal recently celebrated its 97th anniversary with a special edition from its Pune bureau on Tuesday. The edition was inaugurated by Krishnakumar Goyal, Chairman and Managing Director of the Kohinoor Group, and Sushil Kumar Jadhav, Zonal Manager, Lokmanya Multipurpose Cooperative Society.
The anniversary edition celebrated the spirit of Pune by highlighting inspiring stories of the city’s trailblazers across diverse fields such as education, entrepreneurship, social service, public relations and more. Featured stories included those of the Suryadatta Group of Institutes (SGI), UCHIT Media Services, MIT Art, Design and Technology University (MIT-ADTU) and Advocate Subhash Mohite, Chairman of Pune People’s Cooperative Bank Limited and the Pune District Urban Cooperative Banks Association, among others.
These individuals and institutions exemplify vision, resilience and dedication, continuing to shape Pune’s vibrant social and cultural landscape. Through their journeys, the edition honoured not only their achievements but also the indomitable spirit of Pune, a city that continues to lead with purpose and progress.
