Free SSB Training in Nashik for Pune Youth: Eligibility, Dates and How to Apply
Pune, 19th August 2026: Eligible young men and women from Pune district aspiring to join the Indian Army, Navy or Air Force as officers can avail themselves of free pre-training for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview.
The training is being organised by the Maharashtra Government at the SSB Pre-Training Centre in Nashik Road, Nashik. The programme will be conducted from September 21 to September 30, 2026.
Selected candidates will receive free accommodation and meals during the training period in addition to the training itself.
Who can apply?
Candidates meeting any one of the following eligibility criteria can apply for the training:
Candidates who have cleared the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS-UPSC) or National Defence Academy Examination (NDA-UPSC) and have been declared eligible for the SSB interview.
Candidates holding an SSB interview call letter for NCC Special Entry.
Candidates holding an SSB interview call letter for the Technical Graduate Course (TGC).
Candidates holding an SSB call letter for the University Entry Scheme (UES) or whose names appear on the list recommended for the SSB.
Pune candidates must appear for interview by September 18
Interested candidates from Pune district have been asked to appear for an interview at the District Sainik Welfare Office, Pune, by September 18, 2026, to avail themselves of the opportunity.
Candidates appearing for the interview must download the application form from the Department of Sainik Welfare, Pune (DSW) website under DSW Portal → Resources → PCTC Nashik → SSB-69. They must bring two completed copies of the application form along with relevant eligibility certificates and other required documents.
The District Sainik Welfare Office has appealed to eligible youth from Pune who aspire to become officers in the Indian Armed Forces to make use of the free SSB pre-training programme.
