Pune, 19th August 2026: The third season of Voice of Poona – Clash of Titans, a city-based singing platform aimed at providing singers with a professional stage, has entered its final phase, with the grand finale scheduled for August 22 at Royale Heritage Mall in Mohammadwadi.

Spearheaded by Firoza Dorabjee, the initiative has evolved from a platform associated with singing groups into a broader community-driven musical competition attracting singers from across Pune.

The Season 3 auditions were held on August 7, followed by successive rounds leading up to the grand finale. Organisers said the response to this year’s edition has been encouraging, with several singers participating in the auditions and competing for a place in the final round.

Dorabjee said the competition was conceived to create a platform where singers could receive more than just applause.

“I wanted singers to be praised, but also guided constructively. There is a lot of talent around us, and what many singers need is the right platform, professional feedback and encouragement.”

The initiative aims to give singers an opportunity to perform before experienced judges and receive feedback that can help them improve. According to Dorabjee, the competition is not merely about winning but also about building confidence and encouraging participants to pursue their passion for music.

“Voice of Poona is not just a singing competition. It is about bringing people together through music, giving hidden talent an opportunity and helping participants discover their own strengths.”

The competition’s evolution can be traced to its second season, which concluded in August 2025 following an evening of performances before judges and a packed audience. Rajiv Dubey, Amitabh Bhargava and Diksha Dubey emerged as the winners of that edition.

The second season generated interest among Pune’s music community, with organisers positioning the event as an opportunity for participants to gain professional insights and improve their performances rather than simply compete for titles.

Season 3 has retained this focus while expanding the competition’s reach. Promotional material for the latest edition invited singers to audition and positioned the event as an opportunity for performers to showcase their talent on a larger stage.

Dorabjee said the growing response had strengthened her belief that Pune has a large pool of singers who need more opportunities to perform.
“Every season reminds us how much talent exists in Pune. The enthusiasm of the participants and the support of the audience motivate us to take this initiative forward.”

The initiative has also continued to receive support from Jehangir Dorabjee, who has been associated with Voice of Poona as its patron and sponsor.

The grand finale will bring together contestants who have progressed through the successive rounds. Besides the competition, the event is expected to feature live music and performances for Pune’s music enthusiasts.

For Dorabjee, the broader objective is to create a sustained platform for aspiring singers.

“Our aim is to keep creating opportunities for people who love singing. A competition may have winners, but every participant who walks away with greater confidence and a desire to improve is also a success for us.”
