From Fat To Fit, Pune Industrialist Parmar To Attempt Ironman Contest In Germany

Pune, 29 July 202: From weighing over 100 kgs three years ago, Pune-based industrialist Hemant Parmar is all set to compete and complete the Ironman competition in Germany next week.
Parmar, a renowned industrialist and philanthropist, was given a warm send off by Team Radstrong started by 25 times Ironman Kaustubh Radkar, Suhana and Lakshya.
Vishal Chordia, president of Lakshya and Director of Suhana, Rajkumar Chordia, Chairman of Suhana, Anand Chordia, Director-Technical- Suhana Ashish Desai, VP of Lakshya and Kaustubh Radkar were present on the occasion.
Interacting with sport’s enthusiasts as a part of the Suhana Safar initiative, Parmar shared his fitness journey of over 3 years ago after weighing 100 kgs plus
He shared his journey from fat to fit and his successful journey and competing in more than 30+ marathons.
Parmar said, “It was difficult for me to even walk or run a few steps due to my weight but after meeting Kaustubh Radkar and proper diet plans. For over 3 years I was able to achieve my first ever dream of completing the half iron man in Goa which happened in India for very first time .
I will now be competing in my first full Ironman in Germany, we were supposed to participate in a competition in Kazakhstan but we could not get a visa as India was on the Red list.
However when Germany opened up we decided to enter the event and I got an entry and will be starting my Iron man career. I intend to more ironman contests in the future.”
Speaking on the occasion Kaustubh Radkar, who has trained Parmar, said, “He has been an inspiration for a lot of people after his tremendous transformation. His friends and family members are also inspired and have started living a healthy lifestyle.”
