Pune, 10th April 20026: The admission process for First-Year Junior College (FYJC or Class 11) will commence on Friday, with the state continuing its centralised online system for junior college admissions.

The Directorate of Secondary Education will conduct the entire admission process through a unified online platform covering all junior colleges across Maharashtra. Students can begin filling out the first part of the application form from 10 am on April 10 by accessing the official FYJC admissions portal.

Officials said the centralised system, introduced in previous years, will remain in place to streamline admissions and ensure transparency. Director of Secondary Education Mahesh Palkar stated that admissions across the state will continue to be conducted strictly through the online process and based on merit.

The FYJC application form is divided into two stages. In the first stage, students are required to submit their personal details. The second stage, which involves filling in college preferences and other academic information, will open after the declaration of the Class 10 board examination results.

Authorities have advised students to carefully complete the initial registration within the stipulated timeline to avoid last-minute issues during the admission cycle.
