GHRCEM Pune Organized “NEP School Connect 2.0” Awareness Program for School Students

Pune, 13th January 2025: As per the directives of Savitribai Phule Pune University and the Government of Maharashtra, G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management (GHRCEM), Pune, organised a special awareness program titled “NEP School Connect 2.0” at the college auditorium. The program, aimed at creating awareness about the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of junior college students from both the arts and science streams.

Dr. R. D. Kharadkar, Campus Director, GHRCEM Pune, presided over the session and emphasised the transformative potential of NEP 2020. In his address, he stated, “NEP 2020 introduces a revolutionary approach to education that empowers students to choose multidisciplinary subjects and follow a step-by-step examination process. The policy bridges the gap between internal and external learning needs, incorporates real-life problem-solving, and emphasises technology-based learning, design thinking, and critical thinking. It envisions not just creating employees but nurturing future employers.”

Dr. Anil Shahu, speaking at the event, highlighted the importance of spreading awareness about NEP 2020 among society and students. He remarked, “The NEP 2020 provides a roadmap for delivering new-age education and collaborating with international education systems to foster innovation and inclusivity.”

The program was graced by eminent personalities, including Dr. Praveen Jangade, Deputy Director, GHRACS Pune, Dr. Sudhir Hate, Dr. Shyam Mishra, Placement, and Dr. Amol Pote, Dean Students affairs who contributed their valuable insights on the policy’s objectives and implementation strategies.

Sunil Raisoni, Chairman of Raisoni Education, and Shreysh Raisoni, Executive Director of Raisoni Education, expressed their gratitude for the institution’s efforts.
