GHRCEM Pune Students Secure First Prize at IIT Bombay

Pune, 29th December 2025: Students of G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Pune have once again brought national recognition to the institution by securing First Prize at the prestigious IIT Bombay TechFest Hackathon 2025. The winning team, CtrlAltWin, defended their title after emerging victorious at TechFest 2024, marking an exceptional back-to-back achievement and demonstrating consistency and excellence at the national level.

The team, comprising Ayush Yadav, Sumeet Gond, and Swapnil Patil, showcased outstanding innovation, problem-solving ability, and technical expertise, outperforming teams from premier institutions across the country. Their remarkable performance earned them a cash prize of ₹1.25 lakh.

In addition to the cash award, all three team members received internship opportunities from Cograd, significantly enhancing their professional exposure and industry readiness.

The team was mentored by Dr. Swapnil Mahajan, whose guidance, encouragement, and continuous support played a vital role in the team’s success.

Expressing his appreciation, Dr. R. D. Kharadkar, Campus Director, GHRCEM Pune, stated that the achievement reflects the institute’s strong emphasis on innovation, experiential learning, and active participation in national-level technical competitions.
