Giripremi Gets New Leadership in its 44th Annual General Meeting

Pune, 24 June 2026: Pune’s leading mountaineering and adventure organization Giripremi successfully conducted its 44th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 24 June 2026 at Apte Hall, Pune, in the presence of enthusiastic members, where important decisions regarding the organization’s future direction and leadership were unanimously approved.

During the meeting, members reviewed and approved the *Annual Report, Audited Financial Statements, and Budget for FY 2026–27, while also reflecting on Giripremi’s major achievements during the year, including the successful completion of its **third Mount Everest Expedition* and several adventure initiatives undertaken during the past year.

The AGM unanimously elected the new Managing Committee that will lead Giripremi for the upcoming term:

Umesh Zirpe – President

Rupesh Khopde – Working President

Manoj Kulkarni – Secretary

Akhil Katkar – Treasurer

Bhushan Harshe – Committee Member

Ushaprabha Page – Committee Member

Ashish Mane – Committee Member

Vivek Shivde – Committee Member

With a vision to strengthen participation and improve organizational effectiveness, various working committees were also constituted for smooth functioning of the organization and execution of key activities across different focus areas.

Members also held extensive discussions on expanding the scope of Giripremi’s activities beyond mountaineering expeditions, with a focus on increasing outreach, promoting adventure sports culture, environmental awareness, youth engagement, educational initiatives, and community-driven programs.

Several new initiatives and activities were discussed during the meeting, and the organization will be taking up multiple programs in the coming year to further strengthen Giripremi’s contribution towards adventure sports, leadership development, and outdoor education.

With renewed leadership and a larger vision for the future, Giripremi continues its journey of inspiring generations of adventurers and expanding new horizons in the field of mountaineering and adventure sports.
