Goel Ganga initiates registration drive for laborers to help them avail govt. scheme benefits

Pune- To avail the benefits floated by Govt. of Maharashtra’s Labour Department meant for the Building & other construction workers, Goel Ganga Developers has initiated a registration drive of it’s labourers working at its various site. Assistant Lobour Commissioner Chandrakant Raut gave away the registration card to laborers at Ganga Dham Towers site.

Under this scheme, the laborers can avail the benefits related to social security and food scheme, education benefits, classification of workers, health benefits and economic benefits. The next drive will take place at Ganga Legend, Bavdhan and Ganga Glitz, Undri.

“Under this special enrollment campaign, the government has set a target to register 2.5 million workers. Through this, they will be able to take advantage of this scheme by fulfilling certain documents. We have implemented this initiative at our sites because the benefits of various schemes like Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Insurance Scheme, Prime Minister’s Security Insurance Scheme and Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana can be availed by registered workers, informed Atul Goel, MD, Goel Ganga Developers.

“Building and other construction workers need to register with the Board. Workers in the age group of 18 to 60 years can avail benefit from the schemes. As per the building and other construction (employment, regulation and service conditions) Act, laborers from 21 types of construction work, can get benefit from various welfare schemes by registering with the Board. Regarding the benefit of various schemes, the registration fee is been fixed at Rs.25. The monthly subscription is for Rs. 1 and 60 rupees for five years, informed Raut.
